BOW, NH — Bow police and Bow and Hooksett firefighters are investigating a dead woman found in the Merrimack River on Thursday.
County dispatch received a call just before 11:30 a.m. about a naked woman's body seen floating in the river. According to the witnesses, the body was floating south.
A few minutes later, a Bow officer arrived, spoke to witnesses, and confirmed there was a body in the river. The body was caught in some trees about 10 or 15 feet from the shoreline about 100 yards near the River Road boat launch. The launch is owned by Granite Shore Power. The officer told dispatch that the body was "new."
