Derry Woman Rear-ends State Police Cruiser

Crash reportedly occurred on I-93 in Tilton on Jan. 4.

A Derry woman was issued a summons on Jan. 4, after allegedly smashing into a New Hampshire State Police Cruiser on the I-93 Tilton offramp on Jan. 4.
According to a report from the state police, Kim Gullage, 47, of Derry, was cited for negligent operation.

According to the report, at around noon, a state trooper was assisting with a vehicle off the road on the Exit 20 offramp to I-93 when a Ford Expedition rear-ended the trooper's cruiser.

"The Trooper was inside a his issued black Dodge Charger with his side and rear emergency lights activated protecting the crash scene as a tow service was removing a vehicle from the snow bank," according to the statement.

Gullage was reporting traveling north and began to take the exit. She told police that she saw the state police cruiser and applied her brakes but was allegedly traveling too fast and lost control of her SUV, due to snow on the offramp, according to the report.
