Dispute Between Neighbors Leads To Shots Fired In Hooksett

One victim was taken to the hospital and another person taken into custody after an incident on Vindale Road in Hooksett Monday.

HOOKSETT, NH — Police in Hooksett are investigating a shooting incident on Vindale Road Monday. Around 5:45 p.m., officers were called to the area by Matthew Road after receiving calls about shots being fired and one person being hit with a bullet. A man, according to scanner chatter, was shot in the arm.

"Officers arrived on scene and were able to quickly take the lone suspect into custody," said Sgt. Mike Zappala of the Hooksett Police Department. "The incident was deemed a neighbor dispute and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries."

Zappala said there was no danger to the public and the incident is still being investigated.

Police did not release the name of the suspect at post time or whether or not they had been formally charged.
