Dozens Of New Hampshire Wrestlers Heading To New England Tournaments

Historic 1st NH girls championship held; Salem High School earns the most points; New Englands in 2023 will have a tourney for girls, too.

BEDFORD, NH — First, second, and third-place varsity wrestlers in New Hampshire will head to Rhode Island on Friday and Saturday to compete with wrestlers from all around New England.

Dozens of wrestlers from New Hampshire competed in Bedford on Saturday to earn a place in the tourney. Along with Granite State varsity wrestlers, first, second, and third-place wrestlers from Maine, RI, and Vermont will compete, while first to fifth in Connecticut and first to seventh from Massachusetts will also be in attendance.

Also for the first time on Saturday in the nearly 60 years of the sport in New Hampshire, more than four dozen girls competed against each other in their own tournament.
