Dragon Star Restaurant Robbed

Concord Police looking for slim, white male suspect.

Investigators within the are asking for the public's help finding a man who alleged robbed the on South Main Street on the evening of Feb. 4.

According to a press release, a man walked into the restaurant at around 10 p.m. and approached the counter by a cash register. The man allegedly pulled out a knife and heard it near the employee while removing an undisclosed amount of cash from the drawer. The suspect later fled the restaurant.

Three witnesses reportedly saw the man fleeing the restaurant and later, after hearing an employee yelling that he was robbed, reportedly chased the suspect out onto South Main Street. The suspect reportedly ran across the street and through parking lot, then over to South State Street, and onto Thorndike Street. A witness who was chasing the suspect lost the man on Thorndike Street. The suspect reportedly dropped some of the stolen cash in St. John's parking lot, according to police.

The man was described as slim and white, between 5-foot, 5-inches to 5-foot, 8-inches tall, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The hood of the sweatshirt was over his head and pulled tightly around the man’s face, hiding as much of his face as possible.
