Driver Of Vehicle Strikes Pedestrian On Airport Road In Concord: Watch

Part of the road was shut down for more than three hours on Thursday after the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian near Lawrence Street.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police and fire and rescue teams were sent to a crash on Airport Road after a driver struck a pedestrian on Thursday.

Around 7 p.m. first responders were sent to the area of Lawrence Street for a crash report. People at the scene told dispatch the pedestrian was not conscious and they were attempted CPR.

When firefighters arrived, they confirmed a person down on the side of the road. Police shut down traffic between Loudon Road and Regional Drive. Around 7:15 p.m., the patient was taken to Concord Hospital via ambulance. An officer was sent later to question the victim.

Later, an officer reported the patient had a broken left femur.

One lane of the road was reopened around 7:45 p.m.

As of 10:15 p.m., police were still on Airport Road, taking measurements, according to scanner chatter.
