Driver Dies After Van Rolls During Crash In Pembroke; 2 Others Injured: Watch
Police are investigating a fatal accident at Borough Road and North Pembroke Road on Sunday; vehicle rollover, fire also reported in Warner.
PEMBROKE, NH — Police are investigating a fatal crash in Pembroke on Sunday, not far from the town line with Concord.
Around 11:45 a.m., police, firefighters, and the Tri-Town Ambulance were sent to Borough Road at North Pembroke Road for a two-vehicle accident involving a van that rolled. EMTs were told there was one person out of a vehicle that was OK but another was trapped under a van and appeared to have died.
When firefighters arrived, they confirmed the death and requested a second ambulance due to two other injuries.

Police shut down North Pembroke Road between Borough Road and Route 106. Concord EMTs also arrived to assist.

A tow truck was requested to pull the van back onto its wheels so the person could be removed from underneath the vehicle.

Before the Pembroke accident, another major crash was reported in Warner on Interstate 89.
Just before 11:30 a.m., capital region dispatch received a report about a rollover crash on the southbound side of I-89 near Mile Marker 21.2 and the town line with Sutton. The vehicle rolled and caught on fire. Dispatch said there were still occupants inside of the vehicle.
EMTs and firefighters from Hopkinton and Warner all headed to the scene while Good Samaritans stopped and attempted to rescue people from the vehicle, according to scanner chatter.
Firefighters had a difficult time getting to the scene due to traffic backed up in the area. The first arriving fighters found the vehicle fully involved and advised other firefighters to travel in the breakdown lane to get around the traffic. A trauma alert was also requested by EMTs.
Dispatch told command that one person was out of the burning vehicle but one remained inside, according to scanner chatter.
At 11:45 a.m., firefighters from the I-89 crash reported they had put out the fire and transported one person from the scene to Concord Hospital.
