Dumpster Fire Extinguished In Downtown Concord: Watch
A dumpster fire near the Durgin Block Garage was extinguished Thursday. A man was questioned near a second dumpster by Centerpoint Church.
CONCORD, NH — Firefighters extinguished a dumpster fire — literally, in Downtown Concord Thursday.
Just before 3:45 p.m., capital region fire dispatch received a report about a dumpster on fire on the Warren Street side of the garage — with police dispatch confirming the fire from a security camera in the area.
Firefighters and police headed to the area, with EMTs arriving first and confirming the dumpster had smoke emitting from it, but there was no exposure to any other dumpster or building.

Firefighters extinguished the fire and cleared the scene around 4 p.m.
Police reported that witnesses said a white man in a tan jacket was hanging around the area but left toward North State Street. Dispatch said the description matched another man officers dealt with earlier in the day.

Another dispatcher reported seeing the suspect near the Centerpoint Church in a playground next to another dumpster. The man’s identity was confirmed, but no further information was available on any action taken.
