Dunbarton Woman Arrested for Financial Exploitation

Giselle Lemieux was arrested after a traffic stop for bail jumping, criminal mischief, five counts of breach of bail, and failure to appear.

DUNBARTON, NH — Police in Dunbarton arrested a homeless woman this week on charges after she allegedly failed to appear in an exploitation case, according to a report. Giselle Lemieux, 48, a homeless woman, was arrested on May 1, 2017, after a traffic stop at just before 10:15 p.m. in the area of Twist Hill Road and Ordway Road. Lemieux was charged with bail jumping, criminal mischief, five counts of default or breach of bail conditions, operating without a valid license, and an electronic bench warrant for failure to appear in court.

According to a report, Lemieux was out of bail after being arrested in early March on a felony charge of financial exploitation of an elderly, disabled or impaired adult.

“While out on bail, Lemieux allegedly contacted the victim, stayed at the victim’s home, and violated other stipulations of her bail conditions,” Sgt. Chris Remillard stated in a press release.

Lemieux also allegedly failed to appear for her arraignment on the financial exploitation offense, leading to the electronic bench warrant and bail jumping charges.

Lemieux processed and held on $4,000 cash bail. She was arraigned yesterday.
