Duprey: No Name Change for Building

The name of The Duprey Companies’ new building on South Main Street is just being moved ... to a better location. 

Folks in Downtown Concord on June 11 were a bit surprised to see construction workers removing the name of the building.

As far back as early April, when everyone saw the ethos of caring for one another being installed on the side of the new building, co-owner Steve Duprey warned that no final decision had been made, no matter what people heard or saw. Even after the name was installed and covered up by a tarp that was often flapping in the wind, Duprey insisted the name might change.

So when it was taken down yesterday, that's what everyone thought. 

However, Duprey said in an email: No, the name is going to be moved to another location of the building, "where it can't be missed." 

The building is scheduled to open on Aug. 1.
