Easter Weekend Festivities in Concord

Nice weather, Easter Egg hunts, welcoming home Vietnam veterans, and other stuff.

Here are 5 Things to know about this weekend in the city:

  1. A nice weekend? Looks like it. The National Weather Service is predicting sunny skies and highs in the high 40s and low 50s on both Saturday and Sunday. Overnight lows will drop down into the mid-20s on both evenings.
  2. Looking for an Easter Egg Hunt? Here’s a roundup of all the Easter Egg events in Concord this weekend.
  3. Weight loss challenge. Primetime Wellness Club has a fun weight loss competition going on at 9 a.m. on Saturday. The last group lost 450 lbs. during the 12 week program.
  4. Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans. New Hampshire’s Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Army National Guard Hanger on Regional Drive.
  5. Other stuff. Concordia Lutheran Church has holy week events here. On Saturday, Ruby Tuesday will donate a portion of your check to the Friends of Forgotten Children if you submit the leaflet on the link beforehand. Brendan Carey Block, Stuart Kenney, and Eric McDonald play a fundraiser for NH Audubon at the McLane Center at 7:30 p.m. Powermonkeycake plays The Purple Pit at 8 p.m.
