Elderly Man Faces Indecent Exposure And Computer Services Charges
Merton Mann, a former selectman in Dunbarton, was arrested yesterday on felony charges.

DUNBARTON, NH — A local man was arrested yesterday on felony charges after an investigation this week by the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Merton Mann, 74, of School Street in Dunbarton, was arrested on March 16, 2018, for indecent exposure and lewdness and certain uses of computer services prohibited, both felonies. The investigation, according to police, started after the department received a complaint on Wednesday.

Dunbarton Police in conjunction with the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce – which is comprised of members of the Bedford and Portsmouth Police Departments and Homeland Security Investigation – executed a search warrant at Mann’s School Street apartment on Friday morning.

Mann – who is a former Dunbarton Selectman, according to information online – was arrested and held at the Merrimack County House of Corrections. He is expected to be arraigned in Merrimack County Superior Court on March 19.
“This investigation is ongoing and no further details are available at this time,” the department noted on Facebook.

WMUR-TV noted that Mann was charged with stealing money from the Dunbarton Historical Society about five years ago and was recently elected to serve as a cemetery trustee.
