Update: Elderly Man With Onset Of Dementia In Concord Found
Richard Fehrs, who had been missing since midnight on Wednesday, has returned home.

Update: 4:16 p.m. on Dec. 14: Richard Fehrs of Concord returned home on Wednesday afternoon. According to scanner chatter, he showed up at home and could not explain where he had been for the past 16 hours. Concord fire and rescue teams were called to examine Fehrs and he was questioned by Concord police, too. The New Hampshire State Police canceled the alert later.

CONCORD, NH — A man with an onset of dementia has been missing since midnight on Wednesday, and Concord police and New Hampshire State Police are asking for the public’s help finding him.

Richard Fehrs is 72, about 5 feet, 6 inches, and weighs 160 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes. Fehrs was last seen wearing blue jeans, a burnt orange down jacket, and a baseball hat with the words “Perkins Cove” printed on it.
Fehrs was last seen leaving Concord Hospital just after midnight. According to the alert, he failed to return to pick up his wife later. Fehrs was reported missing around 4:30 a.m.

Fehrs was driving a gray 2009 Toyota Highlander with a New Hampshire registration beginning with the numbers 434.
Fehrs, the alert said, was suffering from the onset of dementia.
