The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it: Student Safety and I plan to continue working with the board on strong policies with the input from our community partners.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?: I have kids in the district. I spend a lot of time volunteering in the schools. I know what the needs are based on my own observations and from talking with staff, students and parents.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform: Early Childhood education; Promoting strong academic programing; Class sizes

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?: I have worked very hard these past few years to learn all I can about how a school district works. I fought to bring Full Day Kindergarten to our district and when it wasn't going to pass the first year, I worked with the board even though I disagreed with the outcome, to pass the budget and supported the boards decision.

The best advice ever shared with me was ... You're going to need thick skin for this job!

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?: I love Concord, and even thought it's not where I grew up, it's become my home. And it's the place where my boys are being rasied. Because of this I spend a lot of my time working with other community organizations. I work with RB Productions, Hearts for Kindness, Concord Northeast Baseball and The Concord Trust for the Enhancement of Public Education. I also serve as the Broken Ground PTA President, help with the Blue Duke Care Clsoet and volunteer as the parent coordinator for PEG at Rundlett Middle School.
