According to a narrative submitted to Sixth Circuit District Division Court by Epsom Police Chief Wayne Preve, police were sent to a domestic at the home at just before 4 p.m. The father reportedly told the police chief that his son was “upset and agitated” about a motor vehicle accident on May 21, in Belmont, which resulted in him being arrested by the Belmont Police. Soltani allegedly asked his father for money, reportedly alleging that his brother had stolen his money and he wanted his dad to replace it. The father refused.

“When he did so, V. Soltani began jumping up and down, and struck (the father) from behind in the head driving his glasses into his upper nose,” the chief alleged. “(The father) suffered a minor injury to the nose during the altercation.”

Soltani allegedly left the residence and fled the scene on foot. Epsom and Chichester police looked for him but weren’t successful.

As reported on Patch’s social networks, dispatchers put out a “be on the lookout” alert and 12-hour stop and arrest on Soltani for the alleged assault.

At around 5:30 p.m., Soltani was found by Epsom Police at the Walmart on Loudon Road in a car and was arrested, with the assistance of Concord Police.

Soltani was held on $2,500 cash bail and ordered to stay away from his father. He was arraigned on May 23.

During the last nine months, Soltani has been arrested twice. He was arrested in October 2013, on a theft by unauthorized taking or transfer charge. Soltani was also arrested in March and charged with theft of lost or mislaid property, possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, and default or breach of bail conditions.
