According to a press release, when he formed the band six years ago, Belli envisioned re-inventing the typical electric cover band featuring classic British Invasion bands (Beatles, Kinks, Hollies, Small Faces). The band resurrects songs
(all big hits, not played very often today) “that should not be forgotten!”
“Our music has a definite British accent with a bit of Motown/Soul, and Blues/Rockabilly thrown in.” In NH and Mass., George Belli & the Retroactivists have built up a loyal following. Their fans love to “re-live” these great songs.
