
St. Joseph Cathedral’s Big Band Bash 2012 will light up the Radisson Ballroom in Manchester on Saturday, October 27th from 7 to 10 p.m. Swing and sway to the thumping sounds of the Freese Brothers Big Band, and dance the night away.
“Welcome to Hollywood “ is the idyllic theme to the annual event for 2012, and where guests are encouraged to dress to the 9s: vintage glam, movie characters, here’s looking at you - kid.
The Bash is a unique event, channeling the Golden Age of Cinema. Enjoy ballroom dance showcases put on by students and teachers of Lets Dance Studio in Concord, Royal Palace Dance Studio of Manchester, and Paper Moon Dance Studio in Merrimack. Vintage cocktails, live swinging music will make the room get up and dance too. Concetta's Closet of Newmarket will offer a vintage fashion show during the cocktail hour. Music will be accompanied by hors d'eurves.

Tickets are $30 per person and are available through the website, by t 603-622-6404, or at the door. Doors open at 7 p.m., Fashion Show launches at 7:15 p.m., Freese Brothers Big Band start up at 8 p.m. and dance showcases are at 9 p.m.
St. Joseph Cathedral lost its 127-year-old roof during a windstorm in February 2010. The roof was beyond repairable and had to be replaced. Big Band Bash fundraiser is held each year and they hope to raise some money to help pay for the new roof.
