A gift to the community from Merrimack County Savings Bank, the fourth annual Merrimack Holiday Pops will offer seasonal musical gems as well as special surprises to engage both young and old. Highlights include Laura Knoy’s reading of “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” new music written by composer Jerry Ascione to accompany a reading of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, John David Adams’ return in his celebrated role as “the Grinch,” as well as vocalist Patty Barkas, violin soloist Elliott Markow, and a grand finale sing-along.
Ticket: Tickets are free and will become available on October 15, 2011, 11 AM.
Tickets for free events, including Giles Series performances and the Merrimack Holiday Pops, can be obtained in much the same way as those for regular ticketed events. When the performance goes “onsale” patrons are able to reserve specific seats by placing orders online, in person, by phone, mail or fax. In order to ensure that the maximum number of patrons are able to attend these performances, there are a few restrictions. First, each patron is limited to obtaining FOUR tickets per performance. Secondly, reserved tickets only guarantee you a seat if you arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time of the performance. Any seats that are unclaimed by 15 minutes before the performance will be given to patrons with Standby Tickets.
Standby Tickets: Once all tickets to one of the free events have been distributed, the Capitol Center will begin distributing Standby Tickets. Standby Ticket holders will be given first priority for any seats that remain unclaimed 15 minutes before the start of the performance. The Capitol Center will make every effort to ensure that all Standby Ticket holders will be seated, but we cannot guarantee seating for Standby Tickets. If you have any questions, please contact the Capitol Center Box Office at (603) 225-1111. Doors open for seating to free performances approximately 45 minutes before showtime. Please remember to indicate any special needs when placing your order.
