Expect Thunderstorms Tonight In NH: NWS
Breaking: Thunderstorms are expected to move into New Hampshire this afternoon and last through the evening.

GRAY, ME — Granite Staters can expect some severe thunderstorms today and tonight as storms sweep into the region during the next 12 hours, according to weather forecasters. The National Weather Service issued a “hazardous weather outlook” this morning warning of the storms. The alert was issued at just after 3 a.m. on Sept. 5, 2017.
“Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and early evening across the region,” according to the alert. “A few thunderstorms may be severe, with damaging winds being the main threat. The storms are expected to begin after 4 p.m. and last through the early evening. More showers are possible during the overnight hours and throughout the day on Wednesday. Heavy rainfall could continue through Thursday morning. Localized urban and small stream flooding are possible, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS also posted a Hurricane Irma update. It has since been upgraded to a Category 5 storm with as much as 180 mph winds.
Also, smoke from wildfires in Idaho and Montana have created an orange to yellow tint when looking at the moon.
