Families in Transition Hosts Halloween Wicked FIT Run
Family Friendly 5K Run/Walk Coming to Concord on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 9:30 AM. Register today www.fitnh.org/wickedfitrun.

Families in Transition will host its 3rd annual “Wicked FIT Run” on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at 9:30 AM in Rollins Park, Concord, NH. The certified 5K course will provide runners and walkers the opportunity to support Families in Transition’s (FIT) efforts of providing a home and hope for homeless families and individuals. This is a family-friendly run/walk where people are encouraged to dress in costumes.
This year’s goal is to have 600 runners and walkers in hopes that, collectively, they will raise $5,000 from their friends, family, and colleagues, to help “chase away homelessness.” This race supports people like FIT participant, Wendy, who was formerly homeless, “The biggest impact has been FIT providing my family with a home that I can maintain on my single income.”
There are currently 3,417 homeless children in New Hampshire. This past year, Families in Transition provided housing and social services to 585 people, half of whom were children, and helped them battle the cycle of poverty.
