Fatal 3-Vehicle Crash Reported On Route 28 In Chichester

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a 91-year-old man dies on the Suncook Valley Highway due to a head-on collision.

CHICHESTER, NH — A head-on crash on the Suncook Valley Highway Wednesday took the life of an elderly man and police are asking for witnesses to come forward and assist with the post-crash investigation.

Around 4:15 p.m., Chichester police, Chichester firefighters, and a Loudon ambulance were sent to a three-vehicle collision on Route 28 near Mayflower Drive with two patients entrapped in one of the vehicles. Before they arrived, Chichester firefighters asked dispatch to call in Pittsfield EMTs to the scene, too.

When they arrived, first responders found a Chevrolet Malibu had crashed head-on with a Lincoln Town Car. The crash caused the town car to be pushed into the northbound lane where a Ford F-150, that was traveling south, attempted to avoid the vehicle but ended up crashing into sedan, according to Corp. Joshua Wright of the Chichester Police Department.
