Fatal Gunshot Wound Being Investigated In Canterbury
Police, firefighters, and the Penacook Rescue team were sent to a fire access road by Kimball Pond Road on Tuesday for a shooting incident.

CANTERBURY, NH — Canterbury police are investigating a fatal gunshot wound by Kimball Pond Road on Tuesday.
Canterbury police, fire and rescue teams, and the Penacook Rescue were sent to the road, in the area of Pickard Road, for a gunshot wound report, just after noon. The victim was found inside a car parked near a fire access road, capital region fire dispatch told first responders heading to the scene. Merrimack County dispatch was speaking with the caller about the incident, they said later.
Canterbury Rescue confirmed around 12:15 p.m. the person was code gray.

Penacook Rescue and Canterbury firefighters cleared the scene just before 12:30 p.m.
As of 2:30 p.m., the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office had not issued a statement about the case.
