Filing Period For Concord School Board Seats Begins Sept. 8
Three district seats representing wards of the city are up for re-election in November.

CONCORD, NH — In about two weeks, candidate filings will begin for Concord Board of Education seats for the 2017 election. Anyone interested in running for school board can file between 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 8, and 5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017. The fee to be a candidate is $5.
This November, three seats are up for re-election: The District A, B, and C seats. District A represents Wards 1, 2, 3, and 4. The seat is currently held by Tom Croteau. District B is currently held by Barbara Higgins and represents Wards 5, 6, and 7. District C – Wards 8, 9, and 10 – is being currently by Alana Kimball.

The terms are three years long beginning on Jan. 1, 2018, according to Roger B. Phillips, the board’s clerk.
Anyone interested in running can declare candidacy to run for school board should file within the filing period with at Phillips Law Office, PLLC, 104 Pleasant St. in Concord. Call 603-225-2767 if you have any questions.
