Filing Period Ends for Concord School Board Monday
At least one more candidate is needed for the District C seat.

At 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15, the filing deadline ends for Concord School Board candidates.
According to officials, a third candidate has filed to run for the two-year District A seat (Wards 1, 2, 3, and 4), to fill out the remaining term of outgoing board member Melissa Donovan.
Jim Richards of Willard Street signed up to run for the seat, joining Tom Croteau (District A three-year seat) and Barbara Higgins (District B three-year seat) as the only candidates to sign up to run.

Currently, no candidates have signed up to run for District C seat, which represents Wards 8, 9, and 10. If no one signs up by the filing deadline, write-in campaigns could be waged. If that doesn’t lead to a board member being elected, the school board could appoint a member until next year.
To signup to run, visit the Phillips’ law office, 104 Pleasant St. (use the Pine Street entrance), from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 15.
