Fire Extinguished By Concord Firefighters On Manchester Street

Video: Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to the Pembroke Place Apartments for a stove top kitchen fire on Tuesday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams were called to a kitchen fire in an apartment building on Manchester Street on Tuesday.

Around 9:30 p.m., capital region fire dispatch received an alarm activation from the Pembroke Place Apartments at 85 Manchester St. Callers confirmed there was smoke in the building. After a couple of minutes, the call was upgraded to an active fire, with an unknown cause, inside an apartment.

Two battalions were sent to the building and found smoke inside. Firefighters reported later it was a stove top fire in a kitchen of one of the apartments on the first floor.

The fire was put out at around 9:45 p.m. and smoke was removed from the building.

Fire command said they had reached out to a building representative and were attempting to move tenants to another building. The commander also requested a call from fire prevention.
