EMTs offered advanced life support to two patients with burns and suffering from smoke inhalation. They were then taken to Concord Hospital. Firefighters confirmed the fire had been extinguished inside the apartment and there was no extension. The building was ventilated, the alarm reset, and the commander requested fire prevention to the scene.

Chief Sean Brown said the fire appeared to be accidental. One victim, he said, required air medical transportation for further care but specific details were not known on Tuesday. Brown said the fire damage was limited to the apartment of origin and other tenants were allowed to return to the building.
