Firefighters From Around The Capital Region Battle 2-Alarm Fire In Pittsfield
Video: Firefighters from around Merrimack County were sent to Webster Mills Road in Pittsfield on Thursday for a report of an attic fire.
PITTSFIELD, NH — Capital region firefighters were sent to Pittsfield on Thursday afternoon to battle an attic fire.
Just after 3:45 p.m., Capital Region Fire Dispatch received reports of a house fire on Webster Mills Road in Pittsfield. Firefighters from Pittsfield, Barnstead, Chichester, Concord, Epsom, and Loudon, as well as Chichester EMTs, were sent to the scene. When the Pittsfield fire commander arrived about 10 minutes later, they confirmed smoke from both sides of the building and requested firefighters continue to the scene. They also requested a second alarm.
“We’re going to have to set up a water supply at the pond at the Webster Mills,” they said.

The second alarm brought more firefighters from Chichester, Concord, Gilmanton, Northwood, Pembroke, and Pembroke EMTs at 4 p.m.

Firefighters pumped water from the pond to assist in extinguishing the fire.
Just after 4 p.m., the fire commander confirmed everyone was out of the house and accounted for, according to scanner chatter.
