Firefighters Extinguish Electrical Panel Fire at Concord Steam
Plus, two injured in a mobile home fire on Fairfield Drive.

Two separate fires injured two occupants of a mobile home Thursday evening and caused damage to the Concord Steam facility early Friday morning.
Fire crews responded to a reported fire on Fairfield Drive at 10:47 p.m. last night and arrived five minutes later to find a fire behind the stove. The fire was quickly brought under control, but two residents of the home were transported to Concord Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. They have since been released.
Crews report that the home had functioning smoke alarms which activated and alerted the occupants. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

At 6:45 this morning, fire crews responded to the Concord Steam plant at Pleasant Street and arrived at 6:50 a.m. to find a fire in an electrical panel at the facility. The building was evacuated and the fire was quickly controlled without an interruption in service.
That fire also remains under investigation.
