Firefighters, Police Honor Fallen New Hampshire State Trooper: Video

First responders, others honored Staff Sgt. Jesse Sherrill on Langley Parkway, Clinton Street as his procession left Concord on Friday.

CONCORD, NH — Concord firefighters, police officers, and others honored a fallen New Hampshire State Trooper as his body was escorted from Concord to Dover for a memorial service.

Concord firefighter hung a huge American flag across Langley Parkway to honor Staff Sgt. Jesse Sherrill of Troop A, who was killed in an accident on Interstate 95 in Portsmouth on Thursday. Firefighters saluted him as the procession drove from the parkway to Clinton Street while Concord police officers lined the north side of Clinton Street to honor the fallen state trooper.

Sherrill was taken from the medical examiner’s office at Concord Hospital to the Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home at 655 Central Avenue in Dover on Friday. The escort drove from Concord via I-89 to I-93 south, Route 101, I-95, and then, onto Route 16.
