Fish & Game: Battle Coronavirus Mental Fatigue By Going Outside
State parks around New Hampshire are open and offer a great opportunity improve mood, reduce stress, and boost the immune system.

CONCORD, NH — The New Hampshire Fish & Game Department is reminding residents of the state that while its regional offices are closed and some functions limited due to the coronavirus, parks and everything outside are open for visits. The department, according to Nicola Whitley, a public information officer, is encouraging residents to fish, walk, bike, visit a park, or whatever activity they may enjoy. Going outside, especially in stressful times when people are cooped up for long periods, is a good way to maintain mental and physical health.
"Scientific studies show that time outside in nature can significantly: reduce stress and anxiety; lower blood pressure; improve mood, energy, and sleep; and boost the immune system," she said.
While enjoying the state's parks and outdoor activities though, continue to practice social distancing, she added.
