A Foot Of Snow Is Possible In New Hampshire This Weekend: Update

The National Weather Service expects "moderate snowfall accumulations" while AccuWeather predicts 3-12. Plus, Get Out: Weekend events, more.

CONCORD, NH — Another “hazardous weather outlook” was issued for most of southern New Hampshire on Thursday, warning of “moderate snowfall accumulations,” but exactly how much is unknown at this time.

AccuWeather.com, however, suggested 3 to 12 inches of snow with a “StormMax” alert of 20 inches as a possibility.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service said the snow would start on Saturday night or early Sunday morning and run through Sunday evening or early Monday morning. The morning alert stated that a low-pressure system was tracking just south of New England.

Another storm, expected between late Tuesday and Wednesday, was also predicted. That storm, however, is expected to bring “rain, snow, strong winds, and coastal flooding.”

The NWS did not offer any snow accumulation estimates.

AccuWeather.com, however, did and warned it could be more than predicted in some sections of New Hampshire. Steady snow was expected south of the Lakes Region and the White Mountains.

Another “massive storm,” with potentially “widespread travel disruptions” and strong winds with a mix of rain and snow were expected early next week, forecasters said.

AccuWeather maps showed Concord, Bedford, Merrimack, Nashua, and Salem receiving 6 to 12 inches of snow, while the Seacoast could get 3 to 6 inches.
