Forecasters Say Major Snowstorm Could Hit NH on Friday
Weather Warning: The National Weather Service says anywhere from 4 to 12 inches of snow will hit southern New Hampshire this weekend.

GRAY, ME — No, this is not an April Fool’s Day joke early. And no, it’s not “fake news” either. Forecasters believe that anywhere from 4 to 12 inches of snow will hit southern New Hampshire this weekend, begin on Friday night.
For the past few days, meteorologists have been teasing in their forecasts that more snow could be coming but during the past 24 hours, they have refined their predictions.
According to the latest data, the central and southern parts of the state along with inland Rockingham County – Concord, Bedford, Exeter, Londonderry, and Nashua – are expected to receive 6 to 8 inches while the Seacoast – Portsmouth, Hampton, and North Hampton, as well as Salem and Windham – will receive closer to 4 to 6 inches. The western part of the state – including most of Hillsborough County, Amherst, Merrimack, and Milford – could receive 8 to 12 inches.

The storm timeline is rain on Friday morning and early afternoon which will then turn to a mix of snow and rain between 1 and 3 p.m. The mix will continue into the early evening and then turn to snow between 6 and 8 p.m. The snow is expected to continue into the early afternoon on Saturday and then, change to rain again.
AccuWeather.com noted that in April, the region should expect a “parade of storms” which will also be good for New Hampshire’s current drought conditions.
