Foreclosure Auction for Quality Cash Market Scheduled for May 23

Report: The beloved East Concord butcher, convenience store owes tens of thousands in back taxes, has a bank lien.

CONCORD, NH — A beloved local store in East Concord is scheduled to have its property and assets auctioned off later this month, according to a report in the Concord Monitor. Quality Cash Market on Eastman Street will be auctioned off on May 23, 2017, according to the report, with a family representative refusing to comment on the situation. The Monitor also reported that the store – which was originally a deli and convenience store located in the West End during the 1970s and features an in-house butchery – owes tens of thousands of dollars in back taxes to the city.

There are also liens against the property by Granite Bank and the city, the report stated. In May 2012, the store celebrated its 35th anniversary.
