Former Concord Police Officer Charged with Sexual Assault

Tilton-Northfield Pines Center maintenance worker Robert Magoon was arrested on rape charges allegedly involving two young girls.

TILTON, NH - An elderly man charged with three counts of rape used to be a former police officer in Concord, according to a report in the New Hampshire Union Leader.

Robert Magoon, 73, of Deer Street in Tilton, was arrested on May 23, 2016, on three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault and was arraigned in Franklin District Court this morning. He’s being held on $150,000 cash bail, according to the Laconia Daily Sun.

The charges stem from allegations that he sexually assaulted two young girls between August 2014 and May 2016, at the Tilton-Northfield Pines Center, where Magoon was a maintenance supervisor. The victims in the case are 9 and 11, according to the report.
