Former Mayor Of Chicago, Possible Presidential Candidate, Takes ‘Spin-Free’ Bike Trip Through New Hampshire

CONCORD, NH — A possible 2028 New Hampshire first-in-the-nation primary candidate was in the Granite State last weekend, meeting with voters, and raising money for a bike collective.

Rahm Emanuel, the former mayor of Chicago and ambassador to Japan, spent three-and-a-half days in the state as part of a “spin-free” bike tour, from the Seacoast to the Upper Valley.

The bike tour started in North Hampton on Thursday afternoon.

On Friday, Emanuel held several events between Portsmouth and Manchester. In Manchester on Saturday, he dropped by the Queen City Bike Collective, a Manchester nonprofit that supplies bikes for kids. Emanuel was hoping to raise enough money during the 113-mile trip to obtain at least one bike for every mile he rode.

Emanuel attended a house party in the West End and then had lunch downtown, where Patch caught up with him to talk about the trip and one important issue he would work on if he decides to run for president and wins.

From there, he headed up to New London for another house party.

On Sunday, Emanuel rode to Lebanon and Hanover.
