Former Penacook Man, Out On Parole, Charged With Robbery

Jonathan Petrocelli was arrested on Saturday night after an alleged incident at the V&P Convenience store on Market Street in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, NH — A former Concord resident, with priors who is out on probation and/or parole, was arrested on Saturday on a robbery charge in the Queen City, according to police. Jonathan Petrocelli, 42, of Manchester, was arrested at just after 6 p.m. on Nov. 11, 2017, on a single count of robbery. He was also placed on a 72-hour parole/probation hold by his probation officer.

At just before 6 p.m., officers were sent to the V&P Convenience store on Market Street in Manchester for a report of a robbery. A man in his 20s alleged that after leaving the store, another man “forcefully took his cash,” according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

“The victim claimed to have cashed a check prior to exiting the store,” O’Keefe stated. “He said the unknown assailant accosted him and took his cash before fleeing the area on foot.”

An officer eyed video surveillance from the store and immediately recognized the suspect as Petrocelli, O’Keefe noted. Officers tracked him about six blocks away on Manchester Street and arrested him without incident.

Petrocelli is due to be arraigned today.

Petrocelli, according to numerous posts on Patch, is no stranger to police.

Thirteen months ago, he was picked up for resisting arrest after a traffic stop in Manchester after Petrocelli was reportedly driving around in a cargo van, allegedly casing locations around the city.

Petrocelli was arrested on a heroin possession charge and parole violation in April 2014, by New Hampshire State Police after an incident in Bedford.

In October 2013, he was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child/incompetent after an incident from the month before after a domestic incident in Penacook from the month before.

In March 2012, he was arrested on two counts of theft after allegedly stealing a jacket and mittens from a Loudon Road store and in February, he was arrested in Bedford on driving charges. The month before, he was arrested for willful concealment in Bedford.
