Forrester Gets Big Boost from NH Veterans
More than 100 veterans endorse state Senator, Republican gubernatorial candidate; start Veterans for Forrester Coalition.

CONCORD, NH — Republican gubernatorial candidate, state Sen. Jeanie Forrester, R-Meredith, announced the endorsement of 111 military veterans and the formation of a Veterans for Forrester Coalition in her campaign for governor, according to a press statement. Heading up the list of veteran leaders is Paul Chevalier who has been the most sought after veteran leader in Republican politics for 16 years, according to the campaign. The list also includes three past state commanders of the New Hampshire Veterans of Foreign Wars and two past presidents of the New Hampshire chapter of the Military Officers Association of America.
“Jeanie Forrester understands veteran’s issues better than most," Chevalier said. "She comes from a military family where her dad was a Korean War combat veteran who was active in veterans’ organizations. She represents the best chance veterans have of finally getting someone in the corner office who knows what veterans need, and she has the leadership skills to get the job done.”
Hillary Seeger, USAF veterans and Junior Vice Commander of VFW Laconia Post 1670, added, "Senator Jeanie Forrester has been a steadfast advocate for our veterans in Concord. Jeanie is the daughter of a Korean War veteran and a life-time member of the VFW Auxiliary. As governor, I know we can count on Jeanie to be there for New Hampshire's veterans."

In a statement, Jeanie Forrester said, “I am humbled and honored to have these veteran leaders begin a coalition of support for my campaign.
