Four Day Weeks Coming for Concord Main Street Project

Crews will take a long weekend for Memorial Day, new light posts are arriving, and granite pavers will be installed soon, too.

CONCORD, NH - With concrete sidewalks and ramps having been constructed, and with the addition of some new landscaping, the east side of South Main Street is truly starting to resemble its new downtown self.

After the speedy work of our concrete crews this past week, the sidewalks on South Main Street will begin receiving their next big treatment next week as granite crews will move in to begin laying down granite pavers in our massive new bump outs. The focus of work throughout the week will be aimed at granite work in the Pleasant Street bump out as well as on the sidewalks in front of the Love and Smile buildings, where crews will be fine grading and preparing the area for the installation of a snowmelt system. Also during the course of the week, new light poles will arrive and begin being installed.

Next week, and the following week as well, will feature four-day work weeks. Crews will take Friday, May 27, and Monday, May 30, 2016, off in recognition of Memorial Day Weekend.
