First Arrest Made in Durgin Block Garage Stabbing Incidents
Pierce Osgood, 18, of Concord, who has already been charged with felony conspiracy to commit robbery and breach of bail charges has been arrested again and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and robbery, all felonies.
Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations unit, stated the five suspects were at the scene of the crime at the time of the incident where a male victim was stabbed and assaulted. That victim, he noted, is still recovering from the injuries, which included a punctured lung.
“Following an extensive investigation, detectives developed probable cause to charge each of them with the above crimes,” O’Malley said. “It is believed that the victim was targeted for the robbery because the suspects erroneously thought he had a large amount of cash. The suspects worked together to lure the victim to the Durgin Parking Garage, where the victim became suspicious and attempted to leave. An altercation ensued during which the victim was assaulted by the three male suspects and stabbed by Osgood.”
Osgood, according to police, was arrested on Oct. 1, and re-arrested on Oct. 7, at the Merrimack County House of Corrections where she is being held for the duration of the investigation.
Perkins was arrested on Oct. 7, and is being held on $5,000 cash bail.
Partridge was arrested on Oct. 8, and was released on personal recognizance bail. Both Wyman and Sousa were arrested on Oct. 9, and released on personal recognizance bail.
The victim in the case, a Level II sex offender who currently lives in Concord, has not been charged although it is still an open investigation, according to O’Malley. He added that there wasn’t enough probable cause to charge him with solicitation or anything else at this time but there might be later, based on more discovery or information.
“We can’t substantiate why (the victim) was there,” O’Malley said. “It may have been a pay-for-sex type situation (but) we can’t substantiate any charges at this time.”
O’Malley stated that as of right now, the victim’s actions in stabbing Osgood – a minor injury to her back – “appear to be self-defense.”
