The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The first thing Cassidy would do as sheriff would be to reinstate someone to his former position on the drug task force. Or collaborate with other agencies and seek federal grants to continue fighting the drug epidemic. Drugs have continued, if not worsened, and we have nobody local addressing this.
I would prioritize ensuring the smallest police departments in the county are supported. He said he sees the sheriff’s office as a resource that all the municipalities in the county can use.
Within the Sheriff's Office, I would prioritize creating a stable working environment for employees and leading by example.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My opponent for the primary has no experience within law enforcement, in addition to his platform being unrealistic and not in-line with the duties of the Sheriff's Office.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform:
Bring integrity back to the Merrimack County Sheriff's Office. Working and training with other agencies. Collaborate with other agencies keeping the cost down for all. Transparency with the public.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this position?
I have worked all the positions within the Sheriff's Office while also supervising. My last thirteen years I worked as an undercover officer for the NH Attorney Generals Drug Task Force, during that time I was also a supervisor. I learned to utilize and coordinate with outside agencies such as State and Federal.
The best advice ever shared with me was…
To be a great leader you need to listen and inspire others.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
After attending High School I enlisted in the United States Marine Corp, upon being honorably discharged I began my career in Law Enforcement which I have excelled in. My career has been about helping the people and those that serve.
