Freezing Rain Alert Issued for NH Roads

Breaking: The National Weather warns that roads tonight and Monday morning may be slippery and dangerous.

GRAY, ME — The National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory for tonight into tomorrow morning, according to alerts online. Mixed snow, sleet, and freezing rain are expected to move into the state and will create a difficult commute for Monday morning.

“A trace” of ice could “cause roadways to become very slick, leading to dangerous travel conditions,” the alert noted. “Ice accumulation on trees will weigh down limbs and could snap small branches.”
