Fugitive Caught Hiding at Holiday Inn: Marshals

U.S. Marshals arrested Michael Rand Jr., this week's Fugitive of the Week, this afternoon.

CONCORD, NH - This week’s New Hampshire Joint Fugitive Task Force Fugitive of the Week, Michael Rand Jr., 30, has been apprehended, according to U.S. Marshals.

Rand, who was arrested on March 9, 2016, was wanted on a probation violation on a resisting arrest charge that was issued by the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office.

According to Jamie Berry, a deputy marshal, numerous tips were received this morning about where Rand might be. One tip led marshals to the Holiday Inn on Route 11 in Rochester, where is was suggested he allegedly might be hiding from marshals. Investigators arrived at the scene and “immediately spotted Rand exiting the hotel,” according to Berry. He was arrested without incident is being held by the Strafford County Department of Corrections.

Rand was previously wanted by Rochester Police for multiple felony theft counts back in September 2014, and has been known to allegedly be armed and dangerous in the past, according to investigators.
