Fugitive Caught at NH Hotel
Jean Ernest Pelissier was arrested on outstanding warrants for bail violations after being convicted of robbery, assault, and drugs.

The U.S. Marshals – NH Joint Fugitive Task Force has announced that this week’s New Hampshire Fugitive of the Week was caught early.
Jean Ernest Pelissier, 38, was arrested on Nov. 10, 2015, at a Farmington hotel on two outstanding arrest warrants issued out of the Strafford County Superior Court. The first was issued for bail violations stemming from an original charge of robbery and assault. The second warrant was for bail violations on a drug offense.

After his arrest, Jean Pelissier was brought to the Strafford County Jail, where he will be processed and held, pending his initial court appearance in Strafford County Superior Court on his outstanding cases, according to Deputy U.S. Marshal Jeffrey White. The arrest was made by task force officers from the Strafford and Rockingham County Sheriff’s Offices, deputy U.S. Marshals, and the assistance of the Farmington Police Department.
According to White, since the creation of the Fugitive of the Week program, about 6,100 fugitives have been caught.

“This program has been a remarkably successful tool that has resulted in the location and arrest of numerous fugitives since its implementation in 2007,” he noted. “These arrests have ranged in seriousness from murder, assault, unregistered sex offenders, probation and parole violations and numerous other serious offenses. Nationally the United States Marshals Service fugitive programs are carried out with local law enforcement in 94 district offices, 85 local fugitive task forces, seven regional task forces, as well as a growing network of offices in foreign countries.”
