Fugitive Convicted Cocaine Dealer Caught
Gerald Swanson, this week's Fugitive of the Week, was arrested yesterday by U.S. Marshals.

CONCORD, NH - A fugitive convicted drug dealer who was wanted for a supervised release violation has been caught by U.S. Marshals, according to a press statement.
Gerald “Jay” Swanson, 46, was arrested on June 8, 2016, in Claremont after a warrant was issued for his arrest last month stemming from a 2006 cocaine sales conviction.

Not long after he was featured as this week’s Fugitive of the Week, investigators began to develop information that he might be in the Claremont area.

With assistance of Claremont Police and New Hampshire State Police, Swanson was tracked down at the home of a family member in the afternoon and was arrested without incident.
“Once Swanson was in custody, he was transported to the U.S. District Court in Concord for his initial court appearance on the outstanding arrest warrant,” Deputy Jeffrey White noted in a press statement.
This arrest was made by members of the N.H. Joint Fugitive Task Force including the New Hampshire State Police, Strafford and Rockingham County Sheriff’s Offices, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), along with officers from the Claremont Police Department.
