Gas Leak Closes Concord Liquor Store, Fort Eddy Road Businesses
Breaking: Liberty Utilities is at the scene attempting to fix the problem. Market Basket, Dollar Tree, and Lowe's are open.

CONCORD, NH — Concord Fire and Rescue teams were sent to the Market Basket Fort Eddy Road location for a report of a gas leak on Sunday morning. According to witnesses, a number of businesses were evacuated on May 26, 2019, while a report of gas odors was investigated. The New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet, a nail salon, and dry cleaner are closed; Market Basket and Dollar Tree are currently open.
Liquor store employees referred customers to the Storrs Street location.
The liquor store and other businesses – including two other vacant storefronts that formerly housed Donovan’s Party & Novelty and Barous’ Restaurant – had doors propped open to air out the building. Doors to businesses in the rear of the row of stores were also open.

Workers from Liberty Utilities were seen in the back of the row of stores attempting to fix the problem.
A Lowe’s employee stated that despite reports online, the business was not closed or even evacuated during the gas leak incident.
