Get Out! It’s Father’s Day Weekend
Concord's weather forecast plus events, music, and fun things to do!

Here is everything you need to know about this weekend:
- Weekend weather … looking good. The National Weather Service is calling for some pretty nice weather this weekend. On Saturday, sunny skies and highs in the high 70s. Overnight lows will be in the high 40s. On Father’s Day, more sunny skies and highs in the low 80s. Evening showers are possible though, temps in the mid-50s.
- Gun and knife show. Fort Constitution Arms Collectors hosts its spring gun and knife show at the Bektash Temple on Friday afternoon, and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
- Crafting group. Immanuel Community Church hosts a spring crafting group at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Bring a project or start a new one with help from others.
- Tomie DePaola’s movie memories. This is a new series of quality cinema for children at Red River Theatres. At 11 a.m. on Saturday, it’s “National Velvet,” the film that launched the career of Elizabeth Taylor. Tickets are $10.
- Film fest. The New Hampshire High School Short Film Festival will be held at NHTI starting at noon on Saturday.
- Celebrating dance. The Turning Pointe Center celebrates 30 years of dance at the Concord City Auditorium at 1 p.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $15.
- Contra dance. Dave Bateman hosts a dance at Presidential Oaks at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
- Saturday night music. Joel Cage plays Hermanos at 7:30 p.m. Rosemary’s Baby Blues with Jeff Dearborn perform at The Purple Pit at 9 p.m.
- Swap and sell. The Route 106 Racepark and Hobby Store is hosting a swap meet and flea market starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Sell the things you don’t want anymore; buy other items you need.
- Sunday night music. Eric Chase plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. Alan Fraser plays a piano recital at the Concord Community Music School at 7 p.m. The Jordan Tirrell-Wysocki Trio and Tom Lanigan Band perform at the Capitol Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15.
