Get Out! Things to do in Concord This Weekend
Give blood, bowl, listen to music, take in a musical, or just enjoy the sunny skies.

Here are 5 Things to know about this weekend in Concord:
- Sunny Saturday, Sunday. The weekend weather is looking pretty good. On Saturday, expect sunny skies and highs in the mid-40s. Overnight lows will drop down to the mid-20s. Sunday and Sunday night are looking about the same.
- Give blood Saturday. The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive at the McLane Center on Silk Farm Road from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Princes Ida. The Concord Light Opera Company presents Gilbert and Sullivan’s “Princess Ida,” at the South Congregational Church, at 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20.
- Bowlathon. The Friends of Forgotten Children Bowlathon will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Boutwell’s Bowling Center on North State Street. A minimum pledge of $25 gets you two strings, shoes, pizza, and more.
- Merrimack Music. The Merrimack Music festival continues at 3 p.m. on Sunday at the Concord City Auditorium. Performing this week are Kid Jazz and Brasbe. The concert is free by donations will be accepted.
