Get Ready For Concord's Market Days Festival

CONCORD, NH — What’s New Hampshire’s favorite free community event? Easy! It’s the ever popular three day Market Days Festival in downtown, Concord. Historic downtown Concord transforms into a half-mile-long street fair rivaling any in New England! Market Days takes place Thursday, June 22 through Saturday, June 24, 10am to 10pm daily. This year’s festival is BIG, and it’s better than ever, with eight entertainment venues and some 190 vendors with a mind-boggling array of good things to eat, drink, see, do, and buy.

Market Days Festival, presented by Intown Concord and New Hampshire Federal Credit Union, is the ultimate FREE street fair with so much to see, hear, eat and enjoy! There is something for everyone; whether its sampling all of the delicious and eclectic food along Main Street , enjoying the music and performances at Bicentennial Square, Eagle Square or the South Main Stage, watching the kids play on the state lawn at Free Family Fun, or just strolling down Main Street and visiting some of the 170 plus vendors, we promise you will not be let down!

Market Days Festival was voted “Best Community Event” in New Hampshire by the Hippo! Nowhere else in New Hampshire can you find an extravaganza like Market Days, where the heart of the Capital City is closed to cars and opened to people for three whole days of celebration! Bring a friend, and check out the charming “new” North and South Main Streets, recently reconstructed with wide sidewalks, beautiful plazas, and expanded outdoor dining.

NEW! The 2nd Annual Runner’s Alley Capital City Classic 10K Road Race will take place on Saturday June 24th during Market Days Festival in historic downtown Concord. The course will start in front of the New Hampshire State House and take you for a tour of our capital city. New this year, we added the Capital City Kids Run!

NEW! Touch a Truck is supersized with not only some of your favorite heavy duty vehicles, but this year it's your chance to see a helicopter up close and personal; step inside to have a seat or take a look at the control dashboard, it's pretty impressive! Pembroke based, JBI Helicopter Services will be loaning out one of their fleet for the day! It will be available all day Saturday June 24th at the Touch a Truck area. BUT WAIT! Head on down to the Intown Concord booth and try your luck with a raffle for a chance to win a half hour scenic helicopter ride around Concord!

NEW! South Main Park stage is going big this year with some very enticing and talented musical performances including the popular Concord band David Shore's Trunk o Funk and Parsonsfield who have been described as " an eclectic American band which happily mingles bluegrass, folk and jazz."

Even with so many new attractions, many of the favorites are returning:

• Red River Theatres will be hosting their "Movie under the Stars" on June 23 at 8:30pm.
• The Strong Man Competition was a huge hit and will be coming back to the South Main Stage Saturday June 24th from 3-6pm.
• The Multicultural Festival will be held Saturday June 24 from 2-6pm with a variety of food, music, crafts and performances!
• The Concord Arts Market will be set up along Pleasant Street once again. This is a weekly event that will be supersized for Market Days!
• The Kids Play Zone will feature the ever popular Bouncy House from Village Idiotz and the Mini Golf area, with more holes this year!
