Girl Assaulted In Concord’s White Park

Half a dozen teens were at the park on Sunday when the incident occured; one girl was injured; officers says alcohol may have been involved.

CONCORD, NH — Concord police are investigating an assault incident on White Park on Sunday.

Around 9:30 p.m., Concord police dispatch received a call about an assault in the park. One girl told police another girl, 17, was punched in the face by “some random middle-schooler.” According to scanner chatter, the boy was one of five in the park at the time.

Before police arrived, the boys scattered from the park — some on foot, some on bicycles.

The boy who assaulted the girl was described as a white, tall, skinny, with long hair, and wearing a white long sleeve shirt.

Concord fire and rescue teams assisted the girl while officers scoured the area looking for suspects. One officer said alcohol may have been involved in the incident.

About 10 minutes after the initial call, officers were seen at the intersection of Rumford and Centre streets speaking to several people.
