Girls Inc. of New Hampshire celebrated the successes of 3 "Women of Achievement" at their 11th Annual Women of Achievement Brunch
November 18, 2015 – Nashua, NH: Girls Inc. of New Hampshire celebrated the successes of 3 “Women of Achievement” at their 11th Annual Women of Achievement Brunch at the Manchester Country Club in Bedford, NH this past Sunday. In the past, winners have ranged in age from 33 to 86, they are mothers, CEO’s, judges, nurses, military personnel, teachers, artists, and inventors! They are individuals who know how to lead others to solve a problem, fill a need, and give back to their communities. They understand that challenges come our way just so we can grow and become better at what we do.
This year, our winners were Kerry Baxter, Jessica Paradis and Bev Mehalick. Kerry Baxter is the only female lieutenant for the Nashua Police Department. She is also the recipient of the Medal of Valor, NH Congressional Law Enforcement Award, and Life Saving Award. She has spoken to our girls about non-traditional careers for women and works tirelessly to protect children from harm.
Bev Mehalick is a self-made woman who has overcome personal obstacles to achieve high-level career success in a man’s world at UPS while simultaneously raising a family.
